Dr. Daniel J. Mahoney holds the Augustine Chair in Distinguished Scholarship at Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts. His work has focused on the thought of Orestes Brownson, Aurel Kolnai, Vladimir Soloviev, and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. He is the author of The Conservative Foundations of the Liberal Order: Defending Democracy against Its Modern Enemies and Immoderate Friends (ISI Books, 2011). His book, The Idol of Our Age: How the Religion of Humanity Subverts Christianity (Encounter Books, 2018), was recently released in paperback.
