The European Conservative is Europe’s leading conservative English-language quarterly magazine of philosophy, politics, art, and contemporary affairs.

Our print edition approaches everything from an unflinching right-wing and traditionalist perspective. We believe that a robust “disruptive conservatism” is increasingly vital to current debates about immigration, national sovereignty, marriage and the family, and the future of European civilization itself.

We publish commentaries, essays, interviews, and reviews that illuminate the different varieties of conservative, traditionalist, reactionary, and right-wing thought from across Europe (and around the world). As part of these efforts, we try to give unknown, ignored, or cancelled thinkers a platform from which they may share their ideas; and we seek to consider, explore, and highlight books, places, and treasures of the West that have been forgotten or neglected.

We believe open and honest intellectual inquiry should not be hampered by the fears and machinations of the progressive mainstream, or even the ‘woke’ Left or Right, and we seek to provoke and stimulate people out of their intellectual slumber so that new ideas may emerge about how best to deal with the challenges of modernity. To this end, we publish a range of viewpoints from the Right, broadly conceived, including but not limited to agrarians, anti-statists, classical liberals, decentralists, integralists, monarchists, nationalists, populists, radical localists, sovereigntists, and the various motley defenders of what used to be called Western Civilization, the Judeo-Christian West, or simply Christendom.
