Oran Routh, the 35-year-old son of Ryan Routh—the man charged with the Florida assassination attempt on former U.S. president Donald Trump—is in serious legal trouble of his own after the FBI raided his home and found hundreds of files of child pornography on two electronic devices.
The search of the Greensboro, North Carolina, home of Oran Routh was conducted “in connection with an investigation unrelated to child exploitation,” according to prosecutors.
“These files include videos from a known child pornography series created outside the state of North Carolina,” prosecutors said in the criminal complaint.
The charging document describes the content of the seized material as containing adults engaging in sexual acts with children as young as six years old.
The younger Routh is facing two charges of possessing and receiving child sexual abuse material and has been held in Guilford County jail, North Carolina, since Monday.
