In 2019, 2020, and 2021, AfD politicians were attacked more frequently than those from any other party. The trend has gone almost completely unreported by Germany’s mainstream and state-backed press.
A regional branch of Germany’s domestic spy agency has declared the Alternative for Germany (AfD) youth “right-wing extremists” allowing the government to actively covertly spy on the group’s membership as the AfD reached record highs in new polls.
With the new designation, the BfV now has the authority to use all intelligence tools at its disposal to monitor JA, including the use of confidential informants, electronic wiretapping, and covert observations.
