Jamie Dimon, the CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase, the U.S.’s largest bank, has suggested that in order to allow Green Energy to develop properly, the government may need to seize private property.
The judge declared the expropriation null and void and added a word for the energy company: “The action (of Iberdrola) is surprising. Nonsense has no name.”
It remains to be seen whether valuable lessons to be drawn from Venezuelan expropriations will be heeded.
