What would happen if enough people stopped believing the narratives promulgated by the ruling class and its media?

Paathan presents a challenge to any nationalism that supports a bureaucratic and utilitarian approach. Instead, it shows that community and human dignity are compelling reasons to preserve nations against multinational bids for global hegemony.

The ‘keepers of the script’ are the journalists who seek to use media as a weapon to destroy Western heritage and to promote an abstract, utopian idea of how the world should be structured.
As we look upon our own societies with an ever-decreasing patience at the loss of religious values, we must collectively re-assess our city walls. Are the cracks merely contained to the surface, or does our city lie in ruins?
We should be open to receiving wholeness and beauty, open to the transcendent as it manifests in the bizarre fact of harmony, the startling presence of relationship. In this way we may manifest our oikos in all its coherence, its unity, and avoid developing the kind of resentment that would have us go about compulsively deconstructing our neighbor’s identity.
What I saw in Derrida was a man of equal genius whose affirmative understanding of home redeemed French thought from its obsessive oikophobia.
