Urso is convinced, not without reason, that in recent years Ryanair has had its way on the Italian market, and that the situation must change.
Many popular parties in Europe do not want to challenge the status quo and will stoop to forming alliances with leftists. However, these parties fail to realize that by doing this, they are losing their conservative identity, their authority, and their voters.
Meloni hopes to strengthen Italy’s executive branch in order to bring stability to a country that has struggled for several decades.
The continent is decidedly moving towards the Right. This could mean that the current balance of power in Brussels could radically change in favor of the center-Right in 2024.
The contrast between these two women in Italy is certainly unique in our history. Meloni and Schlein are each trying to fill the leadership void that is lacking not only in Italy, but also in Europe.
It appears Meloni is hoping to take advantage of the leadership vacuum created after the end of the Merkel era to create a new center-right alliance that can lead the Right to a large majority in the 2024 European elections.
