Latin-American gang violence seems to be escalating in Spain’s cities, with criminal organizations recruiting among the country’s immigrant community from the Americas.

A 15-year-old was tragically shot dead in a recent act of gang violence. His 21-year-old companion was also shot but is not in mortal danger.

The young boy had reportedly been recruited by the Trinitarios and was killed by members of the rival gang Dominicans Don’t Play. The police is still looking for the murderers.

If this is indeed the result of a gang feud, it would constitute the 5th such assassination so far in 2022, though there have been other killings perpetrated by Latin-American gangs that were not the result of specific targeting in the context of ongoing feuds.
