Wednesday, 28 June
12:00-14:30
Silversquare Europe (Sq. de Meeûs 35, 1000, Bruxelles)
Our March event was a panel discussion with policy experts on three of the EU’s controversial legislative priorities: security/migration policies, the ‘digital transition,’ and the so-called Green Deal.
Following up on that exciting discussion, our April event focused exclusively on the Green Deal and how hyperregulation by bureaucrats hurts ordinary people.
In the third episode of this series, our distinguished speakers discussed the ‘digital transition.’
The fourth and final event of our A Path Forward series will focus exclusively on Security & Migration.
We will look at the fallacies of the European Union’s migration policies and why they generate debate and resistance on the part of several countries.
Our speakers will discuss what constructive alternatives there are to the current ‘solutions’ and whether ‘controlled immigration’ can be beneficial to the host countries.
Discussion points will include:
- Economic migrants versus asylum seekers: what magnitude of migration is still manageable in the long term?
- Is illegal migration being turned into a European value?
- Is the European way of life sustainable if migration remains unrestrained?
- Can the legislative proposals of the European institutions offer a real solution or are they just empty rhetoric?
