Almost two-in-five violent crimes in Germany last year were committed by foreigners, according to shocking details revealed on Wednesday, April 2nd, in a new police report.
Though criminal activities overall decreased last year by 1.7% compared to a year earlier, the number of violent crimes increased by 1.5% to 217,277 cases.
Crimes such as murder, rape, sexual assault, robbery, as well as dangerous and serious bodily harm, are all classified as violent crimes. Police record around 600 of these crimes every day.
It is particularly striking that in every one of these categories, the proportion of “non-German” suspects has increased.
Overall, foreigners made up around 39% of all violent offenders. This means they are highly overrepresented in crime statistics—last year, the proportion of foreigners in Germany was 16.8%.
The increase in crimes involving rape and sexual assault is particularly alarming: there were 13,320 such cases last year, an increase of 9.3%. Among foreigners, the rise was 15.7%.
The new report coincides with a similar recent study, according to which more than 50% of male perpetrators of violent crimes in Berlin are foreigners.
Outgoing interior minister Nancy Faeser said that the state “has to take tough action against violent criminals. They must feel the consequences of their actions quickly and clearly.”
There was no mention of the disastrous pro-migration policies of the past decade which have allowed parallel societies to develop, with migrants completely disrespecting German laws and traditions.
Despite promising to turn back illegal migrants at the border, Germany’s likely next chancellor, centre-right CDU leader Friedrich Merz, is giving in to the demands of the pro-migration Social Democrats in order to form a coalition government with them.
Alice Weidel, co-leader of the right-wing AfD party, which has for years campaigned on an anti-immigration platform, decried the results of the report and said Germany needs a “real U-turn on migration.”
