According to the authorities, the victim was found with multiple cuts to his head and arm, reportedly inflicted by an unknown assailant. The attack occurred in the heart of the designated weapons ban zone of the Favoriten district of Vienna, an area where violent crimes has been on the rise. Just recently, another man was stabbed in nearby Reumannplatz.
