Ted V. McAllister (1965-2023) was professor of public policy and the Edward L. Gaylord chair at Pepperdine School of Public Policy until his death earlier this year. One of his many books was the 1996 work, Revolt Against Modernity: Leo Strauss, Eric Voegelin, and the Search for a Postliberal Order, which anticipated many of today’s conversations and discussions on the intellectual Right.
