Britain’s crumbling prison service looks set to appoint a new “Area Senior Diversity & Inclusion Manager,” it was reported on Thursday, August 14.
The new post will cost HM Prison & Probation Service £78,129 (€90,804), giving Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood and other senior staff “high quality” “diversity briefings” as part of the role, which involves “building understanding of equality and diversity, to meet the needs of the prisoners in our care.”
The announcement may surprise many rank-and-file UK prison guards, who have been requesting safety improvements in the aftermath of allegedly murderous assaults on staff led by violent inmates Axel Rudakubana and Hashem Abedi.
