Tensions rise as Hamas chiefs are targeted in Qatar.

On Wednesday, September 10—one day after strikes in Qatar targeting Hamas leaders—Israel warned its enemies they were not safe anywhere.

After Tuesday’s deadly attack on the Gulf state—a key U.S. ally involved in Gaza truce efforts—Defence Minister Israel Katz vowed that

Israel’s long arm will act against its enemies anywhere.

Palestinian terror group Hamas said six people were killed in the strikes, including an aide and an adult son of its top negotiator Khalil al-Hayya, as well as three bodyguards and a Qatari security officer.

Hamas claimed that its senior leaders survived, condemning “the enemy’s failure to assassinate our brothers in the negotiating delegation.”

The White House said that President Donald Trump opposed the strikes and had warned Qatar, though Doha claimed the warning came only after the attack began.

Israeli UN envoy Danny Danon said: “We don’t always act in the interests of the United States,” adding

It was not an attack on Qatar; it was an attack on Hamas …. the decision is the right one.
