The man arrested for throwing Molotov cocktails at people advocating for the release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza was formally charged with 118 criminal offenses on Friday in his first court appearance.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national who was in the U.S. illegally after his visa expired in March, told investigating officers that he wanted to “kill all Zionist people.” His attack injured 15 people, aged 25 to 88.

According to an affidavit for his arrest warrant, Soliman “wanted them all to die” and had no regret for his actions, but said he would “go back and do it all again.” He also told investigators he had planned the attack for more than a year, first attempting to attain a firearm to commit a mass shooting. Because of his immigration status, however, he was unable to legally get a gun.

The victims belonged to Run for their Lives, an organization that arranges weekly walks to bring awareness to the hostages still in the hands of the terror organization Hamas.

Soliman’s family—a wife and five children—are in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security. They have avoided deportation only because of the intervention of Biden-appointed Colorado U.S. District Judge Gordon P. Gallagher.
