Bardella Most Popular Candidate in Pollster’s French Presidential Election Scenario

The Rassemblement National president would obtain more than 37% of the votes if elections were held now.

The Rassemblement National president would obtain more than 37% of the votes if elections were held now.

According to an Elabe poll gauging support for possible French presidential candidates, Rassemblement National leader Jordan Bardella is way ahead of his potential rivals in terms of pubic support.

Elabe’s scenario foresees a Raphaël Glucksmann (PS/PP-S&D), Gérald Darmanin (Renaissance), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (La France Insoumise/LEFT), Bruno Retailleau (Les Républicaines-EPP), Jordan Bardella (RN-PfE), and Philippe de Villiers (Reconquête –Europe of Sovereign Nations) run in France’s presidential elections due in 2027.

Of these potential candidates, Bardella would garner 37.5% of the votes, up 6.5% in popularity compared to the previous poll. Second is Jean-Luc Mélenchon, with13%, up 3.5%, head on head with Raphaël Glucksmann (Place publique, PP), up 2.5%, with all the other candidates trailing far behind, with 7% or less.
