Following the shootings that occurred in the small hours of Thursday, August 7th, in the Schaerbeek district of Brussels, an investigating judge was appointed who placed a suspect under arrest warrant for attempted murder, possession of a firearm requiring a permit, participation in a criminal organisation, and possession of narcotics intended for sale.
The public prosecutor’s office has not reveleaded more details yet in the interest of the investigation.
The shooting incident was the 49th shooting incident in the Belgian capital so far in 2025.
