The Belgian foreign minister condemned Israel’s “unacceptable” boarding of a Gaza-bound vessel and summoned the ambassador.

On Thursday, October 2nd, Belgium’s Foreign Minister condemned Israel’s interception of pro-Palestinian activists on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla as “unacceptable” and announced that he has called in the Israeli ambassador to make an official complaint.

Maxime Prévot told lawmakers in Brussels

The manner in which they were boarded and the location in international waters are unacceptable, which is why I summoned the ambassador.

One month ago, Prévot angered Israel by fronting Belgium’s decision to recognise the state of Palestine.
