Multiple targets were knifed to death in West-Flanders.

A man has been arrested in Izegem for allegedly killing three people in separate stabbings in Roeselare. Police conducted extensive searches and used helicopters in the area.

The three victims were killed in separate incidents: a 45-year-old man near a beauty salon, a 43-year-old woman inside a home, and a 67-year-old man at his house after the suspect rang his doorbell.

Authorities said the first two killings involved the Afghan community, while local media linked the attacks to family and relationship disputes.

After extensive searches with drones, helicopters and special units, the suspect was arrested around 11 p.m. at Izegem station. Mayor Kris Declercq said the killings shocked the community but praised the police for apprehending the suspect.

The prosecutor’s office will provide more details on the suspect and motive later.

This latest attack adds to an ongoing wave of migrant violence across Europe.
