Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed Britain’s Labour government is rewarding Hamas, after a joint statement with France and Canada on Monday, May 20th, threatening “concrete actions” against Israel.
Netanyahu said asking Israel to leave Hamas intact would offer a
huge prize for the genocidal attack on Israel on October 7 while inviting more such atrocities.
Ottawa, London, and Paris want Israel to end its offensive military operations and allow the free flow of humanitarian aid which, experience shows, often goes to Hamas. In contrast, Netanyahu argues
The war can end tomorrow if the remaining hostages are released, Hamas lays down its arms, its murderous leaders are exiled and Gaza is demilitarised. No nation can be expected to accept anything less and Israel certainly won’t.
