The Ukrainian president alleged that several companies are supplying Russia from the EU, multiple from the Czech Republic and Germany.

Leseft International, based in Czechia, has denied accusations made by Ukrainian daily Ukrainska Pravda that it facilitated the delivery of missile components to Russia in violation of European Union sanctions.

Calling the claims “fake news,” Leseft’s executive director, Lev Seferyan, told the Czech News Agency that the allegations are “nonsense” and could seriously damage the company’s business reputation.

The Ukrainska Pravda report alleged that “the business of supplying parts for Russian missiles is flourishing” and claimed that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Leseft has facilitated over €18.7 million worth of shipments for the Russian company Ruspolimet.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky already raised concerns earlier this month, alleging that several companies were still contributing to Russia’s weapons production. He did not name any specific companies.

In response, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský said Prague had no evidence that Czech machinery was being exported to Russia, and confirmed authorities were investigating.
