Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has benefited from two properties acquired by his wife, Begoña Gómez, through a family business previously linked to the sex industry, according to property records cited by El Debate. The acquisitions are under renewed scrutiny as Gómez faces a judicial investigation for alleged corruption.
One of the properties is a summer apartment in Mojácar, bought in 2013 from San Bernardo 36 SL—a company formerly run by Gómez’s uncle, which operated adult venues in Madrid, including saunas allegedly offering covert sexual services. The second property, in Pozuelo de Alarcón, was purchased by Gómez in 1997 at age 22 with a developer mortgage, despite limited declared income. Her father was then active in the same family firm. While Sánchez is not named in either transaction, critics say he benefited from staying in the properties.
Meanwhile, the conservative party VOX is demanding an investigation into whether the Sánchez government received early access to court decisions for political purposes. The party accuses the PSOE of interfering with judicial processes and calls for top officials, including Sánchez and Justice Minister Félix Bolaños, to testify.
