Organizers of a Gaza-bound aid flotilla said that on Monday, September 8, one of their boats was struck by a suspected drone off Tunisia’s coast. In contrast, Tunisian authorities deny any drones were detected.
The flotilla, aiming to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza, was anchored near Sidi Bou Said when the incident occurred. A fire broke out on board, which Tunisian officials say started in life jackets, possibly from a cigarette.
Actor and pro-Palestinian activist Liam Cunningham claimed on X, formerly Twitter, that a drone dropped a bomb on vessel, promoting a

The ship was sailing under a Portuguese flag in Tunisian waters 150 meters from shore. Another blatant act of terrorism.
United Nations rapporteur Francesca Albanese also shared footage suggesting signs of an explosion.
Israel had previously blocked similar supposed aid attempts. The last three activists from the previous Greta Thunberg-linked stunt were deported from there in June.
