Yuval Raphael, Israel’s Eurovision 2025 entrant, faced further harassment when flag-wielding protestors got onstage during her Semi-Final Two rehearsal on Thursday, May 16th.
The Nova music festival massacre survivor, who has dealt with continual abuse since her arrival in Basel, was on stage when six people “including a family” used whistles and “oversized” flags to disrupt her performance.
The annual song contest, culminating in Saturday’s final, has attracted a coordinated but to date unsuccessful effort to oust the Israeli competitor, backed up by sinister, street-level threats from outside the main competition.
