A popular German YouTube channel, known for calling out the failures of Germany’s migration policies, the one-sided portrayal of the media, and woke madness, has more than doubled its number of subscribers merely days after mainstream media revealed the channel operator’s anonymity in a bid to discredit him.

The YouTube channel Clownswelt used to have around 220,000 subscribers but now boasts more than 450,000 following a week where public TV station ZDF’s presenter Jan Böhmermann and weekly Die Zeit revealed the anonymity of the owner, “Clownie,” calling his channel “right-wing extremist”—an expression frequently used to describe anyone or any organisation that challenges mainstream thinking.

The hate campaign against “Clownie” resulted in the 29-year-old amateur musician being kicked out of his own band and receiving a lot of hate messages on social media. At the same time, his business is thriving thanks to the additional 200,000 or so subscribers and higher advertising revenues.
