Berlin strengthens its commitment to Kyiv with plans for another €3 billion in military aid.

Germany plans to increase its military aid to Ukraine by an additional €3 billion next year, bringing total support to around €11.5 billion ($13.2 billion) according to the Berlin finance ministry.

Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil will propose the new funds in the 2026 budget which will cover artillery, drones, armored vehicles and the replacement of two Patriot air defense systems.

A ministry spokesman said Germany remains Ukraine’s largest European supporter, adding: “We will continue our assistance for as long as necessary to defend against Russia’s war of aggression.”
