Authorities investigate after knife violence aimed at Iranian anti-regime protesters in Hamburg leaves several injured.

In Hamburg, Germany, up to three armed men used knives to attack Iranian protesters. The demonstrators had gathered to show solidarity with the ongoing anti-regime protests in Iran. Several people were injured, and their attackers—reportedly Afghans—were taken into police custody.

At the solidarity rally, participants waved pre-1979 Iranian flags and chanted “Make Iran Great Again!” in support of Reza Pahlavi. One victim was stabbed in the leg and another in the back, with at least one remaining in critical condition after receiving emergency hospital treatment. Local police responded quickly, arresting three suspects at the scene, according to posts shared on social media. Authorities said the incident appears to have been premeditated rather than random, but the motive is still under investigation.

A video shared on the Visegrád24 portal shows the attack happening very quickly, causing panic among participants. Police have emphasised that maintaining security in the city is a top priority and that increased measures will be introduced to prevent politically motivated clashes.
