Explosions were reported across several Gulf countries after Iranian missiles struck targets in the region, with authorities in the United Arab Emirates confirming at least one fatality in Abu Dhabi. The attacks marked a significant escalation of the rapidly unfolding confrontation.
Iranian strikes hit Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates after U.S. and Israeli forces carried out pre-emptive attacks on Iranian targets.

Witnesses in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, reported hearing multiple explosions, while authorities urged residents to seek shelter and stay away from windows. Bahrain confirmed that a U.S. naval facility was targeted, while Qatar and Jordan said their air defence systems intercepted several missiles.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said in a statement that its missile strikes targeted U.S. bases and other military sites in the region, and warned that operations could continue.
In response to the attacks, several airlines suspended flights over parts of the Middle East, and sections of airspace were closed, underscoring the growing regional risks posed by the escalation.
