An Iranian German entrepreneur and producer has called out the State of Qatar, labelling it a “Parasitic dwarf with a disproportionately dangerous agenda.”

Maral Salmassi took to her Substack to set out “How a Tiny Tyranny Bought the West While Funding Its Enemies.” This shocking summary reminds us how decades of ‘soft power’ investments—in education, sport, real estate and even the entertainment industries—parallels support for such groups as the Muslim Brotherhood, Taliban, Al-Qaeda affiliates—and Hamas.

Back in 2017, President Trump sided with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt in their blockade of Qatar, stating that Doha had “historically been a funder of terrorism at a very high level.” Now this seems to have been forgotten, the author argues. Instead:

What we see in Qatar today—the calculated use of wealth, the manipulation of Western institutions, and the leveraging of victimhood for conquest—eerily mirrors the foundational strategy of Islam itself, as established by the Prophet Muhammad.

There are only two reasons Western elites keep empowering Qatar: they’re either corrupt, or they’re naive.

Unfortunately, this argument is easy to sustain against Brussels—where MEPs on the hook for the Qatargate scandal continue to squirm.
