Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday announced the “end of the 12-day war” with Israel in a message to the nation carried by the official IRNA news agency. He said Iran is ready to “resolve issues” with the United States, according to state broadcaster IRIB.
“Today, after the heroic resistance of our great nation, whose determination makes history, we are witnessing the establishment of a truce and the ending of this 12-day war imposed by the adventurism and provocation” of Israel, Pezeshkian said.
In a call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Pezeshkian welcomed “any assistance” from friendly nations. The call coincided with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan’s visit to Doha for an emergency Gulf Cooperation Council meeting to discuss Iran’s attack on a U.S. base in Qatar, its security implications, and regional stability.
Israel’s Home Front Command has lifted nationwide restrictions, allowing full public activity, including gatherings, work, and education, through at least Thursday night.
