On the evening of Monday, 28th April, a man armed with a knife tried to break into the Israeli Embassy in London with the intent of carrying out an attack, the Israeli foreign ministry said on Wednesday.
Local security forces arrested the attacker. No embassy employees were harmed, the ministry added.
Other media said the intruder was “wearing a Palestinian-style headscarf.”
Scotland Yard arrested a 33-year-old man, identified as Abdullah Sabah Albadri, who has been charged with preparing terrorist acts and two counts of possession of a bladed article. The man had scaled the wall of the embassy building located on Kensington’s Palace Green.
