A Romanian man has been charged with conspiracy to commit arson, London police announced on Tuesday, May 20th after a series of fires at properties linked to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Twenty-six-year-old Stanislav Carpiuc has been accused of plotting with 21-year-old Ukrainian national Roman Lavrynovych, who has already been charged, and was to appear in court on Tuesday, the Metropolitan police said.
The charges relate to three incidents—a vehicle fire in Kentish Town, north London, a fire at the prime minister’s private home on the same street and a fire at an address that he previously lived at in north-west London.
Carpiuc is accused of conspiring with Lavrynovych and others “to damage by fire property belonging to another, intending to damage the property, intending to endanger the life of another or being reckless as to whether the life of another would thereby be endangered,” police said.
