Senior Ukrainian officials visiting the United States said on Wednesday, October 15 that they met with representatives of U.S. defense companies. These include Lockheed Martin and Tomahawk missiles producers Raytheon.
The two-day visit also included discussions with senior U.S. officials and came ahead of a planned meeting between presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday.
Andriy Yermak—head of the Ukrainian presidential office—confirmed that he met with representatives from Raytheon and Lockheed Martin alongside other delegation members, including Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. Raytheon produces the long-range Tomahawk missiles that Trump has considered sending to Ukraine.
Russia has warned that providing such missiles to Kyiv could strain U.S.–Russia relations and risk further escalation in the conflict.
“Our cooperation continues to grow,” Yermak wrote on social media, referencing U.S.-designed F-16 fighter jets that European countries supplied to Ukraine last year.
Svyrydenko also held talks with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to discuss joint investment and cooperation on energy issues.
