A vehicle belonging to a Jewish investigative reporter was doused in an “aggressive chemical based substance” from multiple angles, resulting in substantial damage outside the family home. Although the writer, David Collier, was away when the attack took place, his family awoke to the crime scene the following morning.
According to Collier
this violent escalation is clearly a targeted hate crime directed against a vocal and front line fighter of antisemitism in the United Kingdom.
Collier has attracted the attention of ‘pro-Palestine’ campaigners by exposing so-called public service broadcasters the BBC and Channel 4 for their uncritical reliance on Hamas sources in programmes shown since the October 7th pogrom.
This is not the first time he has been attacked (there have been multiple physical assaults), prompting him to criticise the failure of the British state and civil society groups to even express concern about antisemitic violence against a Jewish journalist. Collier is particularly scathing about “self-appointed anti-extremist NGOs like Hope not Hate … obsessing over calling everyone ‘far-right’ while completely downplaying the Islamist threat.”
