Shomrim North West London reports that on the morning of Thursday, September 11th, staff arrived to find excrement smeared on the entrance door of a local synagogue and its Jewish children’s nursery.
The community defence group noted that this was the eighth such incident locally in just over a week. It fits a pattern in the area, located in the London borough of Barnet, where multiple synagogues and a Jewish school were earlier targeted.
A Shomrim spokesperson said:
These repeated attacks have left our community anxious, hurt, and increasingly worried. Shomrim is working hand in hand with police to analyse CCTV and gather evidence so the suspect can be caught and brought to justice.
The attacks have taken place amid an alarming rise in antisemitism throughout the UK.
