The Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), Hungary’s largest educational institution and research centre, is to host its annual Summit on Technology and Society on June 3-5, beginning with a two-day event in Budapest, followed by a third day featuring a series of lectures in MCC’s regional centres.
As the event’s website states, the sessions will tackle pressing questions such as how technology can be integrated into education without losing human connection, whether Big Tech can be effectively regulated, the implications of the digital transformation on mental health, and how we can make sure technological progress remains grounded in our foundational values.
Some of the renowned uests invited include Juan Martín López Fidanza, Director of Research at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, Chad C. Pecknold, professor of theology at The Catholic University of America, and Saroj Bishoyi, Senior Fellow at the Vivekananda International Foundation in New Delhi.
