Several of the drug dealers who have flooded the area around Mons train station were recently arrested in an operation that lasted three days, Belgian police reported on Thursday, August 14th. The raids led to the seizure of cannabis, cocaine, and heroin, and several suspects have already been brought before the courts.
Last Friday evening, teams from the Proactive Special Support Group (GASP) and the Mons police’s canine unit caught two traffickers in the act during a drug sale. Officers seized 14 units of cannabis resin and four units of cocaine, resulting in two immediate arrests.
Further action followed on Tuesday, with two more individuals arrested for dealing heroin. Then on Wednesday, several cannabis dealers were apprehended. Four users were also fined on the spot.
