The owner of a villa in the Munich district of Solln apparently wants to take revenge on the district’s inhabitants by turning the villa into an asylum centre.
The owner had originally wanted to open a kindergarten but the locals in the neighbourhood vehemently opposed the idea and even took the owner to court over the matter.
The decision to now convert the building into a home for migrants is probably motivated by “revenge,” according to local politician Alexander Aichwalder who is the chairman of the subcommittee on construction and planning in the district.
Plans to turn the villa into an asylum centre will probably anger the locals even more as they had already protested against the construction of a refugee shelter in another part of the district.
In recent years, there have been reports from all across Germany about locals—fearing for their own safety—fiercely rejecting the opening of migrant shelters in their respective neighbourhoods.
