According to Croatian news website Total Croatia, over one in five permits issued to foreign citizens have been granted to Nepalis, a total of 12,000, between January and March 2025. That represents a 13% increase compared to the same period last year. The Croatian Ministry of the Interior’s data once again confirms that the pool of labour from nearby and neighbouring countries is gradually decreasing.
If we look at March alone, almost the same number of permits were issued for the employment of workers from Nepal as from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
