Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday, October 12th, that “Israel is ready and prepared for the immediate reception of all our hostages,” according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to reports, the release could happen as early as tonight.
Meanwhile, an Israeli official told public broadcaster Kan that the hostages are expected to be back home by the time U.S. President Donald Trump lands in Israel at 9:20 a.m. on Monday.
“The IDF has completed its preparations for the release and estimates that all hostages will be freed before Trump’s arrival,” the official was quoted as saying.
