Netherlands: Drones Over Eindhoven Airport Disrupt Air Traffic

"Defence has taken measures. Out of security considerations no further information can be shared," the Dutch defense minister said on Saturday night.

Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans confirmed on X last night that traffic resumed at Eindhoven Airport after it had been suspended for several hours following drone sightings on Saturday, November 22nd.

“Defence has taken measures. Out of security considerations no further information can be shared,” the minister said.

The drone incursion caused disruption at the aiport on Saturday evening at Eindhoven, which serves both as a civilian and as a military airport. All types of air traffic were suspended, Brekelmans said.

Drone sightings have caused disruptions at several European airports over the last month, with more than 20 Russian drones entering Polish airspace and three Russian military jets also violating Estonia’s airspace.
