Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has called for a Russian-European peace summit, expressing concerns that EU leaders have “fallen asleep.”
In his Friday interview on Kossuth Radio, Orbán proposed that the German chancellor and the French president should represent Europe in Moscow, not EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen.
The Hungarian PM emphasized that any potential lifting of sanctions on Russia would depend on an agreement between the American and Russian presidents.
He also cautioned that Europe risks being excluded from a future peace arrangement if it does not take a more active role.
