Hungary’s PM will pay his first personal visit to the Apostolic Palace since the new pontiff was appointed.

Pope Leo XIV will receive the Hungarian prime minister at the Vatican at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 27th.

The audience is significant because it will be Viktor Orbán’s first personal meeting with the Pope since he took office, according to La Presse.

Orbán will also meet with Italian PM Giorgia Meloni in Rome later in the day. Meloni last welcomed her Hungarian counterpart to her office in December last year.
