Across Germany, the Evangelical Church (EKD) is hosting ridiculous events, including pole dancing ‘dance services’ and queer blessings. Formally, such activities aim to explore liberation and self-expression. Participation is voluntary and church councils defend such events as valid spiritual expression.

Dozens of extreme leftists, feminists, and queer associations, including the Rainbow Forum and Queer Church Cologne, organize workshops and services within EKD spaces.

While most are not officially part of the church, they enjoy visibility at conventions and events, turning congregations into platforms for activism , often at the expense of worship.
