A man shouting “Free Palestine” opened fire at a New Hampshire wedding, killing one person and wounding two others on Saturday, September 20th at the Sky Meadow Country Club.
The groom’s uncle, Tom Bartelson, described:
Getting together for a dance for the bride and groom and then all chaos went off … We heard about six shots and everybody ducked for cover and next thing you know we’re rushed into safe spots and things like that.
New Hampshire authorities said more charges may be added for other victims. Hunter Nadeau, the sole suspect, was caught after a manhunt across New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.
Police have found no link between Nadeau and the victim, 59-year-old Robert Steven DeCesare, and his motive remains unclear. The condition of the two injured guests is unknown.
The shooting, apparently accompanied by a political slogan, took place within a week of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
