Members of the extremist Palestine Action group have infiltrated an RAF base in Oxfordshire and caused damage to two British military planes.

The group condemned the UK for sending military cargo to Israel, flying spy planes over Gaza, and refuelling U.S./Israeli fighter jets, and added that “by decommissioning two military planes, Palestine Action have directly intervened to break the chains of oppression.”

Palestine Action sprayed red paint into the engines of two Airbus Voyager aircraft after breaking into RAF Brize Norton. The group said they had used repurposed fire extinguishers to spray paint at the engines and used crow bars to cause further damage.

This is a serious security breach and highlights the extent to which pro-Hamas sympathisers in western countries are willing to go to cause havoc.

Mark Francois, shadow armed forces minister, said there are “serious questions” for the Ministry of Defence to answer about how “protesters, who might even have turned out to be armed terrorists, were able to gain access to what is supposed to be a secure RAF airbase.”
