Several Iranian missiles were intercepted by Qatar’s air defence systems overnight, triggering air raid alerts and emergency measures in Doha and surrounding areas.
The missile interception prompted an air raid alert across Doha and nearby areas, and authorities implemented emergency measures. In some neighbourhoods, buildings were temporarily evacuated to minimise risk to civilians.
Shortly before the evacuation announcements, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a broad warning on social media, urging employees of major U.S. technology companies in Gulf countries—including Dubai, Riyadh, and Doha—to leave their offices and tech hubs.
The Qatari government emphasised that the country is prepared for potential supply disruptions and that strategic reserves are sufficient to meet the population’s needs. Authorities also urged residents not to panic or spread false information.
Meanwhile, Qatar Airways announced that since early March, it has delivered nearly 300 tons of essential goods to Qatar, including medicines, baby formula, fresh food, and medical equipment.
Several countries in the Persian Gulf region have heightened security measures amid fears of further attacks.
