Reform UK has received a major financial boost ahead of next May’s elections, with businessman Christopher Harborne donating £9 million (€10.3 million)—the largest known political donation from a living individual in the UK.
This brings Reform’s total donations between July and September 2025 to more than £10.5 million (€12 million) surpassing both the Conservatives and Labour in quarterly fundraising.
Harborne, a Thailand-based British investor who previously donated to the Conservatives under Boris Johnson and heavily funded Farage’s Brexit Party, has now become a key backer of Reform as it prepares to contest elections across the UK. Reform also received £50,000 from Viscountess Rothermere, further strengthening its war chest.
The donation comes as Reform leads national polling and expands its presence in local government. Next year’s elections will test whether the party’s rise reflects lasting political momentum rather than protest voting. Harborne is CEO of Sherriff Global Group and has previously contributed around £10 million (€11.4 million) to Reform and its predecessors.
