The party has surpassed Labour in membership, giving it the largest supporter base of any British political party.

Reform UK has become Britain’s largest political party by membership, overtaking Labour after the latter shed around 100,000 members since last year’s general election.

According to internal figures, Labour’s paid-up membership has fallen below 250,000, meaning the party has been losing roughly one member every seven minutes since winning office in July 2024. With Reform UK reporting 268,631 paid-up members on its publicly available “live counter,” it now claims the largest membership base in the country.

Party leader Nigel Farage told The Times that the “age of two-party politics is dead.” He later wrote on X: “Reform has overtaken Labour to become the largest party in British politics. This is another huge milestone on our journey to win the next election.”

The news came the same day that Reform secured its first council by-election victory in Scotland, taking a seat from Labour in West Lothian.
