Both Romania and Moldova experienced drones entering their airspace on Tuesday, November 25th, after a night of heavy Russian air strikes in Ukraine.
Moldovan police evacuated a village in the Floresti district after fragments from a UAV fell on a house. The area was cordoned off as a technical explosives team investigated.
In Romania, the defense ministry said a drone crossed the national border in Tulcea County. Four fighter jets, including German Eurofighter Typhoons and F16s, were deployed to monitor the situation.
Drone incursions have been increasing in recent months, causing significant disruptions. Similar incidents have forced airport closures, including Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands.
